Mardi Gras Parade

Mardi Gras, or “Fat Tuesday”, is the last day of the Carnival season; it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. In Concrete, we celebrate Mardi Gras on the Saturday before “Fat Tuesday.”

The parade line-up begins at 2:00 p.m. near the Concrete Post Office. All parade entries and spectators are asked to travel to and then gather in Town Center, where an impromptu party is held. This year we’re pleased to have live Cajun music during and immediately after the parade. Come by the Concrete Theatre to join the fun.

No fee to enter the parade, everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Mardi Gras colors are encouraged (not really required): green, gold, and purple.
