It’s good to see Town of Concrete Public Works staff taking steps to save the long-neglected Superior Building at Silo Park. Even if it’s never restored to its fullest capacity (and beauty?!), it’s become an eyesore that needs help. This week the windows started getting boarded up to prevent vandalism and make this landmark safer.
Just like the work being done on the old Fire Department building in Town Center, this is a project that’s about a decade overdue. The longer these buildings deteriorate, the less likely they can ever be saved, and the more costly it will be to do so. Our thanks to Concrete Town Council for prioritizing this work and making progress “superior.”
