Concrete Ghost Walk & Halloween Fun
October brings frightful fun to Concrete. Travel back in time to the early 1900s, when Concrete was a lawless village of miners, loggers, mill hands, and cement plant workers, as you experience the infamous Concrete Ghost Walk each Saturday in October, the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th, (no Ghost Walk on the 31st.)
Other October events also include the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat for all the ghouls and goblins in town, a return of the Zombie Fashion Runway (this time with the Thriller dance)!

1. Concrete Uncovered
A new fall photo challenge for anyone with a camera of any kind starts October 1, 2026. No experience required, all ages welcome. After registering, you’ll receive instructions, prompts, and photo categories. Submit up to four photos online by October 15. Winners announced October 18. Free.

History, mystery, and the people who shaped our town come alive again this October as the Concrete Ghost Walk returns for four Saturdays: October 3, 10, 17, and 24.
Beginning each evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Concrete Theatre, 45920 Main Street, this immersive walking tour invites you to step into the shadows of Concrete’s past. Your guide will lead you along lonely streets and dark alleys, where tales of unusual happenings and lingering legends wait.
Every year, we dig into our history to uncover another layer of Concrete’s past,” said Valerie Stafford. “The Ghost Walk is a chance to meet the people who used to live here, listen to their stories, and maybe wonder which ones have never left”
Important Notes
- Tours take place rain or shine. Concrete’s October evenings can be cold and unpredictable, so guests should dress warmly and wear suitable walking shoes. In the unlikely event that severe weather requires cancellation, advance ticket purchases will be refunded.
- The event is intended for adults and mature teens. Children under 16 will not be admitted.
- Because of the nature of the outdoor walking route, the tour may not be accessible for guests with mobility concerns.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout the tour.

4. House on Haunted Hill
Cult classic thriller starring Vincent Price (1959). October 16 at 5 p.m. at the Concrete Theatre.
Rich oddball Frederick Loren has a proposal for five guests at a possibly haunted mansion: show up, survive a night filled with scares and receive $10,000 each. The guest of honor is Loren’s estranged wife, Annabelle, who, with her secret lover, Dr. Trent, has concocted her own scheme to scare Loren‘s associate, Nora Manning, into shooting the potentially crazy millionaire. However, more spooks and shocks throw a wrench into the plan. 1 hour, 35 minutes

5. Blowin’ in the Wind
Tribute to Bob Dylan starring musician and historian from Olympia, Joel Underwood. October 17 at 2 p.m. at the Concrete Theatre.
Joel combines music and storytelling to explore the remarkable career of one of America’s most important songwriters. This show traces Bob Dylan’s path from his early life in Minnesota to his formative years in New York’s Greenwich Village folk scene.
Joel’s previous shows at the Concrete Theatre paid tribute to Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams – to the delight of our audience! We’re happy to have him back in town!

7. Zombie Fashion Runway

We Want You To Be The Next Top Zombie! Create your backstory and design your costume. Practice your zombie groan and be ready to limp, drag, and shuffle your way down the runway at the haunted and historic Concrete Theatre.
The zombies will be doing the “Thriller” dance on stage! People are dying to get in and welcome our living community members to cheer on the undead for this one night only. Entry and participation are completely free.

8. Spooky Puzzle Race

9. Trunk or Treat

FREE event in Bear Square where costumed volunteers will be on hand with their decorated vehicles, waiting with treats for your kids. Businesses on Main Street will welcome trick-or-treaters, too. Safe fun for the family!
