Looking for fun, affordable entertainment in Concrete? Whether you're  visiting the area or are a lifelong resident, you'll be pleased to know there's a great little theatre right in Town Center.

The historic Concrete Theatre first opened in 1923. In the early years, it offered silent movies, "talkies," vaudeville, and boxing matches.

Now, it features first- and second-run movies, live entertainment, and a variety of presentations. It's also the home of the annual Concrete Ghost Walk (see Events).

Owners Valerie Stafford and Fred West purchased the Theatre in 2009, refurbished and reopened it in February 2010.

When the movie industry "went digital" in 2012, supporters and local residents stepped up to raise more than $50,000 in less than 6 months to keep the Concrete Theatre alive.

The theatre now has a top-notch digital projector, Dolby surround sound system, and other new equipment. That allows audiences to enjoy an amazing movie experience in an intimate setting.

And a wine and beer bar has been added to the venue!

In 2021,we expanded to create Act One Ice Cream Parlor and Act One Art Gallery in the adjoining building. It's a very popular stop for families traveling to the North Cascades National Park.

Private tours are available by appointment. Private events, including meetings, parties, and family movie nights, can be arranged as well. You have the option of renting the theatre, ice cream parlor, separate meeting room, or all three. Contact Valerie Stafford at info@concrete-theatre.com.
