Parade & Tree Lighting 2024
Saturday, December 14
6:00 p.m. on Main Street
A Christmas parade, followed by the annual Tree Lighting at the east end of Main Street will take place on Saturday, December 14, starting at 6:00 p.m. Help welcome Santa to town!!
Please note: Main Street will be closed to traffic between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. The Parade line-up will be near the Post Office—everyone is invited to join the parade!
Volunteers are needed to help with all parts of this celebration. If you can be on hand that night for a couple of hours, please let us know.
Geoffrey Castle’s Celtic Christmas
Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m.
Concrete Theatre, 45920 Main Street
Experience the magic of the season at Geoffrey Castle’s Celtic Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m. at the Concrete Theatre in Town Center, Concrete, WA. This concert features renowned violinist Geoffrey Castle with his Celtic Night All-Star Band, promising an evening filled with enchanting music that celebrates Celtic traditions. The performance also showcases the talented Seattle Irish Dance Company and special guest Emily McIntosh, who will lend her voice to this festive celebration.
Look for the Gnomes!
The Gnome Hunt is conducted online via a free app from Eventzee. You’ll earn points by taking photos, selfies, or videos with the gnomes and answering questions related to them. There are opportunities to be creative, too: write poetry, sing a song, or show your own gnomes. To get started, download the app on your mobile device and set up your free account.

Free Workshop: Create a Celtic Craft
Led by Becky Luttrell (at far left), this year’s craft workshop will feature creating your own Celtic Tree of Life. Watch for registration to be part of this activity.

#1. Learn About Bagpipes

Noon to 2:00 p.m.• Concrete Theatre
During this unique workshop, participants will have the opportunity to discover these instruments’ history and cultural significance. The workshop is open to anyone aged 14 and up—an adult must accompany minors.Hands-on experience: Get up close and personal with bagpipes and experience how they work and sound. Space is limited; registration is required. This is an Open House style event. You’ll have the option to not only learn about bagpipes, but also go into Act One Ice Cream Parlor to experience other Celtic music! REGISTER HERE

#2. Making Celtic Music

December 14 – 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.
Act One Ice Cream Parlor
Bring an instrument of any kind and we’ll learn to play a fun tune together (vocalists are welcome as well). We’ll learn about different styles of Celtic music and what to listen for. This workshop is taught by Cayley Schmid, Director, Celtic Arts Foundation. This is an Open House style event. You’ll have the option to not only learn about Celtic music, but also be welcomed into the bagpipe demonstration inside the theatre. Space is limited; registration is required. REGISTER HERE
